Wow! Term 3 is coming to an end and we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the AMAZING work that our Prep students have completed and the growth that they have experienced in all areas of their learning and development. This term has seen a number of extra special experiences take place. > Book Week Celebrations > Spelling Bee at Assembly > The Olympics > Father's Day > Student Led Conferences > Grandparent's Day > School Swimming Program Throughout each of these experiences, we have been INCREDIBLY PROUD of our students and their ability to demonstrate our 5 School Values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, EMPATHY, INNOVATION and EXCELLENCE at every opportunity. In addition to these occasions, our regular learning has taken place in our classrooms. Students have covered a huge range of topics in Reader's Workshop, Writer's Workshop, Numeracy, Italian & Inquiry. We have seen incredible growth in all areas of learning and we are excited about term 4. **Don't forget to download the Seesaw app to see more of your child's work and goals- web.seesaw.me (Every grade in the school uses the Seesaw app, so it might be a great idea to link up now!). Remember Parents, Grandparents and other relatives are able to join Seesaw - all they need is your password/QR code. Thank You to all Parents/Carers for their support through a busy, but WONDERFUL term 3. The students are at the centre of EVERYTHING that we do at CSPS, and we are delighted to be able to work WITH you to create such rich experiences for them. From attending swimming lessons, designing book week costumes, letting Grandparents know about our days and supplying money for Father's Day stall - we truly appreciate your support for our school, our staff, our students and most importantly your children. |

Monday, 5th September students from Prep were lucky enough to be joined by special visitors at school - their Grandparents/Grandfriends.
Our Grandparents arrived at 2pm and were given tours of the classroom, the DIP garden and eventually, the whole school. Students had developed a LONG list of questions that they were wondering about the past, and were able to share these answers in small groups, full of rich discussion - and even some great objects and items from home! The students and their grandparents enjoyed the 'Photo Booth Fun' and each were able to dress the other up and complete a fun photo. Students worked in classrooms and the DIP garden, sharing work that they are proud of and learning about 'how the Past is different from the Present'. The biggest Thank You to all of our EXTRA special visitors today - we are so happy to be able to offer this experience to our students and appreciate you all taking the time to join us at school. |
