Wellbeing and Engagement Update
2026 Parent/Carer Opinion Survey
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Our annual Parent/Carer Opinion Survey is now open, and we encourage all families to take 20 minutes to share your feedback.
The survey helps us understand what families think about our school, including school climate, student behaviour and student engagement. Your feedback helps us identify areas for improvement and plan future initiatives.
The survey is open from Wednesday 19 August to Friday 18 September 2026 and can be completed online using a computer, tablet or smartphone.
The survey is available in English and 10 additional languages. If you would like support or a survey guide in your preferred language, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office.
We have used previous survey feedback to make positive changes. For example, feedback identified the need to strengthen teacher and parent communication, which contributed to the introduction of parent-teacher interviews. Our subsequent survey results showed a significant improvement in this area.

Management Update
Performance and Development
I am currently completing around 40 mid-cycle Performance and Development discussions with staff across the school, including teachers, education support, wellbeing, office staff and school leaders. These conversations provide an opportunity to celebrate progress, discuss goals and identify areas for further professional growth.
Workforce Planning for 2027
Planning for our 2027 workforce is well underway. Staff have been asked to indicate their intentions for next year, and we are working with the Department of Education to ensure our staffing structure is both educationally appropriate and financially sustainable.
We currently have 65 Prep students enrolled for 2027. We will farewell 80 Year 6 students at the end of this year and have welcomed 16 new students, other than Prep, since the beginning of 2026.
2027 Class Planning
Class planning will begin at the start of Term 4. Students will have the opportunity to nominate a few friends they would like to be with, and we carefully balance classes based on a range of learning, wellbeing, social and educational considerations.
If parents/carers have information they believe would assist with class placement, please provide this in writing by mid-November. We carefully consider all requests alongside information from teachers, Education Support, Wellbeing and Leadership. Students will find out their classes and class teacher on the Statewide Transition Day in December.
Once classes are finalised, changes are generally not possible as moving one student can have a significant impact across the whole year level.
Our goal is always to create balanced, supportive classes where every child can learn, build friendships and thrive.
