PRINCIPAL’S REPORT ~ May 27th 2026
Wellbeing Update
Division Cross Country
We had ten students made it through to the Division Cross Country which was wonderful to see so many able to participate. They all represented the school wonderfully with both their fantastic efforts and respectful and responsible participation. We had one student Stevie make it through to state level. Congratulations Stevie!

Bravehearts visit P-2 Weds 20th May
P-2 students participated in a Bravehearts Incursion last Weds 20th May. Braveheart’s ‘Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure’ is underpinned by the below principles of personal safety. An evaluation of the Ditto Show suggests that teaching young children these principles can help to increase resilience and reduce the risk of child sexual abuse, as well as other forms of abuse, including family violence and bullying.
- Differentiating safe and unsafe feelings
- Recognising the body’s warning signs
- Body ownership and that it is ok to say no
- Helping children name public and private parts using anatomically correct names
- Reinforcing that there is no secret that children cannot tell someone
- What to do if you feel unsafe or unsure
These personal safety principles are distilled into three easy-to-remember ‘rules’ that are reinforced throughout the program. ‘Ditto’s 3 Rules’ are:
- We all have the right to feel safe with people.
- It’s ok to say NO if you feel unsafe or unsure.
- Nothing is so yucky that you can’t tell someone about it.

Curriculum Day – June 5th
Friday June 5th will be a mandatory Report Writing Day. This will be a student free day.
Reports Mid-year 2026
We will be providing student achievement reports for Semester 1 this year as usual.
The reports will be distributed on 22nd June 2026
The reports will continue to provide important details about student learning attainment, but full descriptive comments will not be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.
We will of course be pleased to discuss with you your child’s progress at our next parent-teacher interviews scheduled for Tuesday 21st July 2026 or, as always, you can contact your child’s classroom teacher to arrange a meeting to discuss further.
The Werribee Open Range Zoo excursion Year 1s
